Your data
Everything you paste, type or open is processed by JavaScript in your browser tab. It is not uploaded, logged or shared. Files you open are read directly from your device, and downloads are created on your device.
What is stored in your browser
- Preferences (light or dark theme, indentation and similar options) are saved in your browser's local storage so they are remembered next time. They never leave your device; clearing site data removes them.
- Hand-over text: when you press Repair it on another tool, the text is placed in session storage for the current tab so the repair tool can open it. It is removed as soon as the repair page reads it, and session storage is cleared when the tab closes.
Page-view statistics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our hosting provider adds to every page. It counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking, and it never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools. Its small script is loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com and reports to cloudflareinsights.com.
What is not used
No cookies, no advertising, no cross-site tracking, no third-party fonts and no content delivery networks. Apart from the analytics script above, all scripts, styles and fonts are served from jsonmender.me itself.
Hosting
Like any website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which processes technical request information such as IP addresses in order to serve and protect the site. That information covers page requests only; the JSON you work with is never part of a request.
Links to other sites
Links to other websites, such as the sister sites in the footer, are ordinary links. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
